8th St. Gallen International Energy Forum

The St.Gallen International Energy Forum (IEF) was founded in 2007 and is chaired by Prof. Dr. iur. Dr. rer. pol. h.c. Carl Baudenbacher, President of the EFTA Court; it is an annual event organized by the Competence Center for European and International Law (former Institute of European and International Business Law) at the University of St.Gallen HSG. Meanwhile, the IEF has firmly established itself as one of the leading events on energy law and policy.

High-ranking speakers inform and debate on the current trends in European and international energy law. The Forum is the annual meeting point for about 150 participants from advocacy, the business world, academia as well as public authorities .The event distinguishes itself from other conferences not only by its quality and its reputation, but also by the “je ne sais quoi” of its supporting program.
