Global Webinar Series – Implications of the European Commission’s “Clean Energy for All Europeans”

28 Jun 2017

Friends of the Supergrid, Edison Electric Institute (EEI) and American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU) invite you to a webinar that will explore intricacies of the Energy Winter Package with focus on electricity markets. Join us for a discussion about the far-reaching issues brought about by the legislative proposals in the Winter Package, thereby enabling you to understand upcoming changes in the European energy market and implications for US and European businesses. As the EC stated by mobilising up to €177 billion of public and private investment per year from 2021, this package can generate up to a 1% increase in GDP over the next decade and create 900,000 new jobs.

The hour webinar will address the potential opportunities and challenges surrounding the most comprehensive legislative package which will determine the evolution of the European energy system for the next decade. The panel will also discuss cross-cutting issues in the Winter Package that are shaping the transatlantic and global dialogues around regulation and policies for energy system transition and smarter energy infrastructure.
