Supergrid welcomes the completion of the negotiations on the Clean Energy Package

Supergrid congratulates the European Commission, the Council negotiators represented by the Austrian Presidency, the European Parliament team, as well as all stakeholders engaged in the negotiation process, on completing the “Clean Energy for All Europeans” Package.

The deal is a significant step towards achieving the needed European energy transition. It will clearly shape Europe’s electricity market for the coming ten years and provide more certainty and stability for investors. It also shows the world Europe remains the leader in terms of addressing climate change matters.

Now, the next real challenge for all stakeholders is to make sure that the European grids (transmission, distribution, decentralised, community grids, EV grids, gas grids, etc.) are adequately funded and remunerated, and work smoothly and efficiently together to facilitate the full integration of great amounts of renewable power in the system.

Let’s do it!
